WHAT IS PILATES
Pilates was designed by Joseph Pilates as a series of exercises on the mat using various pieces of equipment, that helps improve FLEXIBILITY, increase MUSCLE STRENGTH, strengthen your CORE, improve, strengthen and maintain CORRECT POSTURE, help with MUSCLE IMBALANCE and creates awareness of poor posture, weak and tight muscles and demonstrates how to correct these.
STARTING A NEW PILATES PROGRAMME
This sometimes brings about mild discomfort and nausea as we gradually open and release those tight muscles and open the nerve pathways and usually fades after a few sessions. Please consult with your GP for clearance if you are worried about starting pilates classes due to injuries or complications.
WHAT DO I NEED FOR MY PILATES CLASSES?
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement, you may wear socks or go barefoot, and it is beneficial to bring your own water a towel and your own mat if you have. Your pilates trainer can order equipment for you should you wish to purchase any.
HOW MANY CLASSES SHOULD I ATTEND PER WEEK?
As a starting point, I would advise a MINIMUM of 2 classes per week to gain benefits however as much or little time you have available is better than nothing!
Classes can be made up if you miss them but these still need to be booked in advance.

Prices: R 110 per class
x1 / week = R400 per month
x2 / week = R800 per month
